Taqa Pro: choosing a certified solar installer in Morocco

Taqa Pro is the quality label for solar installers in Morocco, launched in 2018 by AMEE (the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency), AMISOLE and the Cluster Solaire. Certified companies have completed training, passed a final exam and signed an ethics charter, and their installations can be audited.

Check that an installer is certified

The label is the only independent quality signal for photovoltaic installers in Morocco. The official list of certified companies is published on the Taqa Pro website: check the company's name there before you sign.

Comparing quotes

  • Ask for at least three quotes for the same system size in kWp.
  • Work out each quote's price per watt-peak (total price ÷ size in Wp). The usual range is 8 to 15 MAD/Wp installed (price details). A quote well above it deserves a question.
  • Compare the output the installer promises with an independent estimate: the simulator calculates it for your address with PVGIS, and its PDF can go with your quote request.
  • Declare the installation: under 11 kW, a simple declaration is enough (Law 82-21).

Wattu does not sell installations and takes no commission.
